A 350-year-old traditional craft handed down to Iwami-Ota, Tottori Prefecture.
It is a decorative mask for Oni.
The work of the 9th generation Soei.
Oni mask:
In the face of Sarutahiko, this god was pioneered when Tenno descended.
It is said that if you decorate your house, you will shake off the disaster.
The mask is made of Japanese paper.
This work was created about 40 years ago.
The mask is contained in a wooden box.
Since it is a product with a history, the surface of the wooden box has the appearance of aging.
The inside of the wooden box is decorated with carpet.
The size of the wooden box is about 22 inches high, 14 inches wide and 7 inches deep.
As for the size of the mask, the approximate height excluding hair and wrinkles is 11 inches.
The total weight including the wooden box is 3.9kg.
