Description
Offered here is a beautiful, vintage hard plastic doll whom I believe is a Nancy Ann. I am not a doll expert but I believe she is a Nancy Ann because she has the smoky eye shadow, rosy cheeks and sweetheart face of these dolls. She has been re-wigged in a lovely silvery-blonde wig that matches the color of the lace in her dress perfectly. Her outfit includes a lovely matching hat and dress with lace overskirt, and lace collar, and lace at each wrist; a satin slip with rosettes, knee length pantaloons, long stockings and black flats. I added the doll carpet bag to her outfit, as the colors complimented her outfit nicely. She has been my "Valentine Doll"* -- as she looks like a vintage valentine to me. Her hair is pulled back and tied up with a bow; she has vintage doll hair combs at each temple, and wears a crimson ruffled hat that matches her dress. The dress features crimson bows at the push-up sleeves and at the neckline. She has a crimson sash tied around her waist. Her matching hat features a beautiful vintage peach pink rose and feather. She is holding a bouquet of handmade resin or clay (?) roses in her left hand. She carries a "carpet bag" in her right hand. This bag opens and has a leatherette closure flap as well as an internal snap to hold it closed. It has a different fabric pattern on each side. She wears long black open-work knit stockings and black suede cloth shoes with tiny gold medallions on the toes. Beneath her dress, she has a pair of lovely long pantaloons, edged in lace, and an elegant ivory satin slip with tiny rosettes sewn on for decoration.
*NOTE: The pink metal doll stand is included, so that she will be ready for display on arrival.
She will be wrapped very well for shipping; I take great care to wrap and pack my dolls so that they do not move around in transit. She will be insured and come with signature confirmation. Payment thru PayPal is required immediately at the close of the listing.
No props in the photos are included in this listing -- only the dressed doll with her accessories as described, and her doll stand. She has been part of my personal doll collection, kept in a darkened doll room in my SMOKE FREE and PET FREE home. She is in very good condition for her age. I would estimate she dates from the late 1950s. Her eyes open and close and are clear, not dull, and she has beautiful rosy cheeks and red lips; her silver blonde wig is very, very curly and could be styled differently if you wish.
